About Amith Vijayan, CEng
I turn 12+ years of hands-on utility engineering into strategies that keep the lights on, cut losses, and move power systems toward a smarter, cleaner future.
At Kerala State Electricity Board, I've engineered 99.9% grid reliability across regional distribution networks, driven down AT&C losses — cutting non-technical losses by 15% and technical losses to 8.6% — and trained 500+ employees and community members on energy conservation and electrical safety. Before that, I co-founded and grew a software startup serving clients across India and abroad, where I learned to pitch and negotiate directly with C-suite executives.
I am a certified Chartered Engineer (CEng) by The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) and currently pursuing an MBA in Power Management at UPES, sharpening the strategic and policy side of a career that started on the substation floor.
